About B Foster Design

I'm Heather, designer and creator of all you see here on B Foster Design. I named my business in memory of my grandmother whose timeless elegance helped shape the way I create each signature piece, from the comfort of my ever-so-glamorous converted Oregon garage studio.

When I'm not handcrafting each of my designs, you can find me gardening in my backyard, hiking, or camping in the Pacific Northwest with my sidekick, Cosmo.

How to Determine Ring Size

The easiest way to determine ring size is to visit a local jewelry store and ask them to use a sizer to give you precise measurements.

Another option is to print an online RING SIZE CHART such as the one HERE, and measure your finger.

If those options are not available to you, an alternative is to measure your finger with a strip of paper or string. Because the Band and Ellipse rings are wide using a strip of paper is recommended. Wide rings require a larger size to be comfortable.

Start by cutting out a strip of paper that is approximately 10 mm wide and 100 mm long.Wrap the paper around the base of the intended finger, and then mark where the paper overlaps. The length of the paper you measured in millimeters is the circumference of your finger. After finding this measurement, use our conversion chart to find the corresponding ring size.If the size of your finger below the knuckle drastically differs in size from the knuckle itself, measure your knuckle as well. Then, choose a size that falls more in the middle of these two measurements.
